If you receive help to pay your rent as part of your Universal Credit, you must tell Universal Credit that your rent has increased to make sure you get the right amount of benefit.

You can make this change from the 4th April 2023 by updating your journal. The DWP can only process a change on or after 4th April so please do not add any changes before this date.
Phone Notifications

You will receive a ‘To do’ notification from Universal Credit. When you receive the ‘To do’ notification please update your journal with your new rent details.
