Residents and customers have been sharing with us the positive difference our donated digital devices have made to them.

One customer, a regular at The Strand Hub shared their thanks:

My daughter Lily would like to say thank you for the laptop. She’s coming up to her important years in high school, picking her options and getting ready for her GCSE’s. Tthis laptop will help her do all her school work and revision, she is doing really well in all her subjects and tries her hardest in everything she does.  Thank you RBH”

We have also received appreciation from Army of Kindness who told us:

“I just wanted to say thank you so much for the mobile phones from RBH The last one was handed out last night and they all have been greatly appreciated.  We are grateful for your support in this initiative”.

“I gave 10 phones to Talk English for their users who were in need too”. They also shared a story with us of a refugee who received a donated mobile phone.

They also shared a story about a refugee who received a donated phone and how it helped them stay connected and rebuild their life.

Peter (name changed) recently arrived in Rochdale seeking sanctuary as a refugee.

He speaks Pashto and has limited English, but through one of our partner organisations, he received a donated mobile phone with a data package.

This has helped him stay connected with his family, join community groups, and get involved in local volunteering, making it easier for him to integrate and feel less isolated.

It’s been a big help in supporting his wellbeing.
