Mobile phone and broadband bills can be expensive but you can cut costs simply by switching to a new provider.

If your current contract has ended, you can often make large savings by switching to a cheaper deal.

Use an Ofcom - accredited price comparison site to find the best deal.

You can find more information on the seven Ofcom accredited sites by clicking here.

Check your costs

Before switching check what you currently pay for your broadband and mobile phone to see if the package still suits your needs or if there is anything you don't use that is adding extra costs.

If your contract or a current deal has expired it is always worth contacting your current provider and see if they can offer you a better deal.

Customers receiving benefits can save money by switching their broadband or landline to a social tariff sometimes known as ‘essential’ or ‘basic’ broadband. These cost as little as £12 a month.

You can find more information on if you’re eligible and a full list of broadband and social tariffs by clicking here.
