I have been an RBH tenant for nearly ten years, volunteered with The Soup Kitchen Rochdale from 2018 until early this year, and chaired the campaign to save the Seven Sisters since 2017. These experiences have given me valuable insight and engagement into what tenants want and need.
I firmly believe that a strong, independent, and challenging tenant voice is essential to support positive changes in RBH, safeguard the future quality, numbers and security of our homes, and maintain vital housing services. I have developed my knowledge through working with the Housing Ombudsman's Tenant Scrutiny Panel as Chair of the Rochdale branch of the Greater Manchester Tenants Union. Along with these roles I am hugely pleased to have recently been given a position on the Greater Manchester Combined Authority Good Landlord Charter Managing Board in order to represent Social Housing Tenants.
With this experience, I am committed to helping RBH deliver the best possible outcomes for tenants and the wider community that rely on Social Housing.
