Ajman, is currently the Executive Director at Sheffield City Council responsible for an extensive portfolio of council functions which includes housing and repairs services. He joined the City Council in April 2022 and previously was at the London Borough of Hackney Council as Executive Director of Neighbourhoods and Housing. With a local government career spanning 32 years, Ajman has also worked at senior and executive level roles leading front line services in several councils in Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, the Midlands, as well as housing association in Staffordshire. He is a non-executive director at Wakefield District Housing Association and Arches Housing Association and also a Magistrate.
