Hopwood Hall College organised a Meet our Students event for local employers as part of the National Apprenticeship Week. This event was a special push to let their young people know about opportunities for training and more in the Rochdale and surrounding areas.
The idea behind the event is to let students find out about local apprenticeships and traineeships, see what’s on offer and decide if something might appeal to them. Positions cover all types of work from office positions to trades such as plumbing or heating engineer.
RBH attended along with several other organisations including Positive Steps, the NHS and Carillion who were all keen to introduce themselves to Hopwood’s talented students.
Learning and Development Manager Sharon Cooper said: “This is a very good event for RBH as we continue to develop our positive relationship with the college. Like other companies in the area RBH needs good candidates to apply for future positions. By getting to know students on days like this we want to encourage them to apply to us when opportunities open up at RBH.”
This is all part of the build up by RBH to the announcement of new apprenticeships towards the end of May.
If you are interested - or if you have friends and family who would benefit from an apprenticeship – keep on eye on the RBH website. Although there will be more information closer to the time on social and local media; make a note now to ensure that you remember to take a look.
RBH enjoyed meeting with the Hopwood students and playing its part in the National Apprenticeship Week, the life of the college and, hopefully, providing further opportunities for their ambitious students.
